The Opportunity

State Wide Sheds has an exciting opportunity for a motivated, technically-minded Account Manager / Sales Engineer to join the team. This role is based in the Dubbo head office and will involve a mix of front-of-house sales, handling website inquiries, and field visits to support existing and potential customers throughout regional NSW and occasionally interstate.

A key aspect of this role will include developing estimates for customers requiring customised solutions (training will be provided) and managing the sales pipeline within the company’s CRM system.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with a diverse and skilled leadership, design, and operations team to develop technical solutions that meet customers’ unique specifications
  • Identifying product and service value-add opportunities within the extensive shed range
  • Preparing quotations tailored to customer needs
  • Building and maintaining relationships with new and existing customers
  • Sourcing new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up
  • Conducting active outbound calls to initiate and follow up on sales and marketing campaigns


About You

You will be a proactive and self-driven professional looking to expand your skillset and career in a rural manufacturing and construction environment. To be successful, you will have:

  • Exposure to or experience in supporting sales quotes in a technical, engineering, or building environment, or the willingness and aptitude to learn
  • Strong commercial acumen, sales, and negotiation skills with a desire to grow
  • The ability to develop and maintain internal and external stakeholder relationships
  • The ability to work autonomously
  • An inquisitive nature, with a tendency to think outside the box and apply your skills in a broad market of unique solutions
  • A positive and enthusiastic attitude, with a work ethic that is passionate about achieving strong sales growth results
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills
