As part of an exciting fleet expansion, ARTC is investing in cutting-edge, high-speed Plasser resurfacing and tamping machines to elevate operational performance.

The Asset Services team oversees the operations and maintenance of ARTC’s resurfacing fleet and heavy plant assets. Within this, the Heavy Plant Operations team delivers both preventative and reactive mechanised maintenance, while also supporting capital upgrades across NSW, QLD, VIC, SA, and WA.

What you’ll be doing
As an Infrastructure Maintainer, you’ll play a key role in the safe and efficient operation of Heavy Plant Machinery. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Operating and maintaining heavy plant and equipment in line with OEM guidelines and ARTC regulations
  • Performing track maintenance and safeworking duties
  • Progressing through competency levels via training and on-the-job experience
  • Ensuring accurate and timely documentation and reporting
  • Promoting fair and inclusive workplace practices
  • Upholding HR, safety, and welfare policies
  • Complying with ARTC’s Safety and Environmental Management Systems
  • Supporting projects and other duties as required

These field-based roles are located in Goulburn and Dubbo, NSW, and form part of a migratory team. Frequent travel and variable shift rosters are required. Applicants must reside within a 4-hour driving radius.

•Effective written and verbal communication skills
•Ability to interpret instructions, plans, and safety information
•Team-oriented with the ability to work independently
•Comfortable using computer systems and programs
•Valid Class C driver’s license
